    About Daily Motus

Daily Motus is a grappling reference built around one simple habit: one technique a day. Every day the site features a single move, and the rest of the library stays open so you can look up whatever you are working on in class.

    What it covers

The library holds 467 techniques across Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and Wrestling. Submissions, sweeps, escapes, guard passing, throws, takedowns, control and the transitions between them.

    Why it exists

Most people leave training with a technique they half remember and no good way to find it again. Daily Motus exists as an educational reference and a way to discover techniques you would not have searched for. It is a study aid, not a replacement for a coach.

    How techniques are organised

    • By discipline: Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling.
    • By category inside each discipline, such as submissions, sweeps, escapes and throws.
    • By position, so you can study everything that happens from guard, mount or turtle.
    • By belt level, gi or no-gi, and whether you are on top or bottom.

Each technique keeps one permanent address, so a link you save today still works later.

    Who maintains it

Daily Motus is maintained by a small editorial team. Technique entries carry a named contributor when a person has written or reviewed that entry.

How entries are written, reviewed and corrected is described on the editorial standards page.

    Training safety

Grappling carries real physical risk. Train techniques under qualified instruction and supervision, talk with your partner before drilling something new, and apply submissions with control. Adapt what you practise to your experience, your body and the day you are having. Tap early.
