Editorial standards
Plain language about how technique information on Daily Motus is handled.
How entries are written
- Techniques are categorised by discipline and position.
- Descriptions are written for educational reference and study, not as instruction.
- Terminology differs between schools and organisations, so a name used here may not be the name used in your gym.
- Technique names carry regional and stylistic variations. Where a common alternative exists, it is noted in the entry or the glossary.
- Entries are updated when a clearer explanation or a correction becomes available.
- Practical technique information is kept separate from promotional claims. Daily Motus does not rank instructors, academies or products.
Attribution
When a named person has written or reviewed the notes on a technique, that person is credited on the technique page and linked to their profile. Entries without a named credit are library records maintained by the site, and they are not presented as anyone's personal instruction.
Video
Videos are embedded from YouTube and remain the property of the creators who published them. Daily Motus does not host video, and embedding a video is not an endorsement or a claim of affiliation.
Corrections
If a technique is mislabelled, filed under the wrong category or contains an error, the entry is updated while keeping its permanent address whenever possible, so saved links and shared links keep working.
You can report a problem through the suggestion page or Instagram. Reports are read, though no response time is promised.
Training safety
Grappling involves physical risk. Practise techniques responsibly, under qualified instruction and supervision. Talk with your training partner before drilling something unfamiliar, apply submissions with control, and give your partner time to tap. Adapt what you train to your experience level and physical condition.
