Daily Motus Browser Extension & Add-on Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Daily Motus Chrome extension and Firefox add-on handle information.

    Last updated:

    Information Stored in Your Browser

Daily Motus stores certain information locally in your browser so features can work between sessions. This may include:

    • moves marked as watched
    • moves marked as practiced
    • favorite techniques
    • recent move activity used for catch-up indicators
    • browser extension or add-on preferences

This information is stored using browser storage on your device. Depending on your browser settings, browser features such as profile synchronization may copy stored extension data between your own browser installations.

    No Account Required

You do not need a Daily Motus account to use the browser extension or Firefox add-on.

    Connections to DailyMotus.com

The browser extension and add-on may connect to DailyMotus.com to retrieve public technique information, updated public move data, open technique pages, and display Daily Motus hosted content.

When you visit or request content from DailyMotus.com, normal web server information may be processed as part of delivering that request.

    Video Content

Some Daily Motus techniques include videos provided through YouTube.

When you choose to play a video, the browser extension or add-on may load video content through DailyMotus.com and YouTube services.

YouTube and Google may process information according to their own privacy policies when their services are used.

    Selling Personal Information

Daily Motus does not sell personal information collected through the browser extension or add-on.

    Advertising

The Daily Motus browser extension and add-on do not use your watched, practiced, or favorite technique history to serve personalized advertising.

    Browser Permissions

Daily Motus requests only the browser permissions needed for its current features. The Chrome extension and the Firefox add-on request the same set.

    • storage: saves your Daily Motus preferences and activity (watched, practiced, favorites) locally in your browser so they are still there next time you open it.
    • Access to dailymotus.com: lets the extension load public move data, technique pages, and video content served by Daily Motus.
    • Access to the Daily Motus data service: the earlier version also lists the hosted address Daily Motus used to publish daily move data.

Daily Motus does not request access to your browsing history, your tabs, or the content of other websites.

    Removing Local Data

You can remove locally stored Daily Motus browser data by removing the extension or add-on and clearing its stored browser data.

    Changes to This Policy

If the way the Daily Motus browser extension or add-on handles information changes, this policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
