    Common Questions

What does the number on the Daily Motus browser icon mean?

The number shows how many recent Daily Motus videos are available for you to catch up on and have not been watched yet.

It is not your number of favorites, practiced moves, or total techniques.

When is a move marked as watched?

A move with an available video is marked as watched when you start the video. Simply opening Daily Motus does not mark the video as watched.

    What does Practiced mean?

Practiced is a separate status that you choose yourself. Use it when you have practiced that technique.

Watching a video does not automatically mark a technique as practiced.

    What are Favorites?

Favorites let you save techniques you want to remember or revisit.

Why does a technique show "Explore This Technique" instead of a video?

Not every technique has a video available inside the browser extension or add-on yet.

Select the graphic or View Technique to open that specific technique on DailyMotus.com.

    Where does a video play?

When a technique has an available browser video, it plays directly inside the Daily Motus popup.

Can I look at previous moves?

Yes. Use the previous and next controls to move through recent Daily Motus selections. You cannot move forward beyond today's selection.

Do I need a Daily Motus account?

No. The browser extension and add-on do not require a Daily Motus account.

Where are my watched, practiced, and favorite moves stored?

These browser features are stored locally using browser storage.

Why did my local history disappear?

Browser data may be removed if you uninstall the extension or add-on, clear browser storage, reset browser data, or use another browser or browser profile.

    Does Daily Motus work offline?

Some information may remain available from data packaged with or previously retrieved by the browser product, but videos, updated content, and DailyMotus.com pages require an internet connection.

How do I update Daily Motus?

Chrome and Firefox normally update installed extensions and add-ons automatically after a new version is published through their stores.

How do I remove Daily Motus?

You can remove Daily Motus through your browser's extension or add-on management page.

    Troubleshooting

    Video does not play

    1. Confirm that you have an internet connection.
    2. Close and reopen the Daily Motus popup.
    3. Refresh Daily Motus using the refresh control.
    4. Make sure your browser is up to date.
    5. If the technique does not have an inline video, use View Technique to open it on DailyMotus.com.

    Daily move does not update

    1. Use the refresh button in Daily Motus.
    2. Close and reopen the popup.
    3. Confirm that your browser can reach DailyMotus.com.
    4. Restart the browser if the issue continues.

    Local activity is missing

Watched, practiced, and favorite information is stored locally in the browser you used. It will look different in another browser profile, another browser, or on another device, and it is removed if you clear that browser's stored data.
